Authors Instructions
The Editorial Board maintains the right to preserve the technical quality of the journal. Prospective authors are encouraged to examine the journal itself for details of layout. A template can be used as a sample for the paper format described below. Submitted papers would not be sent to referees before full adherence to the following requirements
Ethics
The submitted paper should not have been submitted earlier or at the same time to any other journal in Egypt or abroad
For multi-author papers, the corresponding author must affirm that all of the authors have read and approved the manuscript
Copyright and Declaration of Authenticity forms should be completed and sent to BJESTas explained in Copyrights
Acknowledgment, when applicable, must be provided
Paper Submission
Papers should be submitted online through the website in English or in Arabic. The manuscript should be prepared i.e. abstract, key words, main text, acknowledgment, references, list of symbols, figures, tables, etc. as given in the template
Manuscript
Maximum length of paper is 20 pages including the Arabic summary. Extra pages will be considered at additional extra charge
The Margins in all pages except the first page are 3 cm from the top and bottom, and 2.5 cm from the left and right. Only the first page should have margins 5 cm from the top, 3 cm from the bottom, and 2.5 cm from the left and right. Text should be justified to the left and right margins
The manuscript should be single line spaced
Each paper must start with Abstract and end with Conclusions with the main body of the paper arranged in between
Acknowledgments, if provided, shall be placed immediately after the "Conclusions" and before the "References". Other materials such as "List of Symbols" and "Appendixes" are to be placed after the references
An extra blank line is to be provided between the separate sections and subsections
Paper Title and Authors Names
The length of paper title may not exceed 80 characters
Paper title is to be typed in bold capital letters, size 13, and placed centered
Author(s) name(s) should be typed in plain capital letters, centered, and placed 3 spaces under the paper title with footnote giving the author(s) title(s) and affiliation(s). Another 3 line spaces are to be provided between the author(s) name(s) and the title of the abstract
Footnotes
Footnotes must not be used in the paper except for the authors affiliations where they appear at the foot of the first page typed in Times New Roman font size 10, and separated from the text by a short line.
Abstract
English abstract should be provided at the beginning of the paper immediately before the Introduction with the word ABSTRACT as heading flush left
The abstract must be self-contained one-paragraph, no longer than 200 words
It should contain a summary of the highlights of the paper, a statement of the problem and the nature of approach, content and key findings
Keywords
Five to ten key words (not more than two lines) must be provided on separate line after the Abstract and preceded by the word "KEYWORDS"
References
References should be cited in the text between square brackets (e.g. [3], [5-8]) and listed at the end of the paper with the word REFERENCES as heading flush left.
The reference list should contain only those references cited in the text, numbered in the order in which they are first cited
Arrangement of the list of references is as in the example given below for: 1. "a paper", 2. "a report", 3. "a book'"

Units
The International System of Units (SI) should be used. Equivalents in other units may be given in parentheses.
Figures and Tables
The following list is extremely important:
Original figures and photographs must be submitted with the paper.
Figures and tables are to be totally integrated within the text.
Captions should be located under the figure and on top of the table. They should be clearly distinguished from the text and the figure or table by providing enough space before and after each caption. They should start with the word "Fig." or "Table" in plain text followed by the number and a period (e.g. Fig. 5. , Table 2. )
Words, symbols and numbers within figures and tables should correspond with those in the text.
They should be written with the same font of the letter of the text (i.e., 13pt., not bold) and large enough to maintain readability at 80% .reduction.
Figures and tables are referred to in the text by their number (e.g. Fig. 2, Figs. 3-5, Table 1, etc.) not in parentheses.
Equations
Equations must be allowed sufficient space to ensure clarity.
Equations must be numbered consecutively, with the numbers parenthesized at the end of the corresponding line flush right (1), (2), etc.
No portion of any equation is to be hand-written and all symbols should be in italics.
Equations are referred to in the text by their number in parentheses (e.g., Eq. (1), Eqs. (3-7), etc.).
Publication Fees
For prospective authors residing in Egypt, a non-refundable down payment of EGP 500 is to be paid upon submission of the paper. In case of acceptance, the remaining fees of EGP 500, including additional fees for extra pages over the 20-page limit, should be settled with BJEST Treasurer before enrollment of the paper in the next possible issue. For authors who are non-residents of Egypt, a non-refundable down payment of US $100 is to be paid upon submission of the paper. In case the paper is accepted, additional payment of US $100 is required prior to enrollment of the paper in the next possible issue. Publication fees cover the cost of one copy of the Journal and 10 reprints. Additional pages will be charged at U.S.$ 25/page
